Autowerx was built on a shared commitment to craftsmanship, pride, and doing things the right way. These values define both Mike Peyton and Daniel Brammer. Mike’s journey began at Universal Technical Institute in Houston, where he laid the technical foundation that led him into the elite ranks of Mercedes-Benz, spending over a decade honing his diagnostic expertise, rising into leadership as a shop foreman, and developing a reputation for precision and consistency at the highest level.
Daniel’s path mirrors that same dedication to mastery, also beginning with his own training at Universal Technical Institute and evolving through years of hands-on experience across top European brands including Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, and Porsche. Along the way, he developed deep expertise in diagnostics, drivability, and complex mechanical systems, earning master-level recognition and building a mindset rooted in quality workmanship.
When the two crossed paths at an independent European shop in Richmond, VA, it became clear they shared the same philosophy, that every vehicle deserves meticulous attention, honest service, and pride in the final result. Together, they combined dealership level expertise with a more personal, customer focused approach, creating Autowerx in Midlothian as a place where experience, precision, and a genuine passion for high-quality work come together seamlessly.
Meet Mike Peyton
Mike Peyton brings over 21 years of hands-on experience to every vehicle that enters Autowerx. His journey began at Universal Technical Institute in Houston, TX, where he studied automotive and diesel technology from 2003 to 2004. He then advanced into the prestigious Mercedes-Benz ELITE program in Allentown, PA, further refining his skills with one of the most respected brands in the automotive world.
Mike launched his professional career at Mercedes-Benz of Tysons Corner, where he spent seven years mastering diagnostics and repair. He later continued his work at Mercedes-Benz of Alexandria before relocating to Chesterfield in 2013. There, he joined Mercedes-Benz of Midlothian and quickly rose into a leadership role, serving as a team leader and shop foreman for six years.
Before opening Autowerx, Mike spent three additional years at an independent European repair shop, gaining valuable insight into how to better serve customers outside of the dealership environment. Along the way, he was also recognized nationally, competing as one of just 32 technicians in a Mercedes-Benz diagnostic challenge in 2012.
Meet Daniel Brammer
Daniel Brammer brings 22 years of experience in the automotive industry and a deep-rooted passion for cars that started early in life. Growing up around racing and working in garages, he developed a hands-on mindset and a drive to understand how things work.
Daniel began his career at a Jeep dealership, where he built a strong foundation in warranty repair and vehicle systems. He later moved into a transmission specialty shop, where he advanced from removing and installing units to fully building transmissions and diving into the technical side of diagnostics and internal repairs.
His career continued at a highly regarded Volkswagen and Audi dealership, where he earned Master certification and worked in a culture that emphasized pride in workmanship. He later transitioned to a BMW dealership before moving into the independent European repair space, where he ultimately met Mike.
After spending time pursuing other ventures, Daniel returned to the automotive industry to help build Autowerx from the ground up. Today, he remains hands-on in the shop, diagnosing, repairing, and working directly with customers.
